Coming to you a bit delayed...
As there was just a tiny bit of distraction there getting ready for Miss Violet to turn six, and get a new bed, both of which have indeed occurred.
But...Day 2 In San Francisco.
I got up at 8 and wandered out onto the street and into the Castro to absorb the oh-so-gay atmosphere.
I first got excited to see this piece of history...what used to be Harvey Milk's Camera Store..
I particularly enjoyed the neighborhood signage...
Then I headed over to get my Hippie on...
First the gays, then the hippies, and then..
the Ocean. I headed over to Lands End to check out the Pacific and the Golden Gate Bridge from the other side..
I swung by the Mission to see the oldest building in San Francisco...
And needed a pastry break, so I headed to Tartine,
And had this yummy bread pudding..
But figured it would still be okay to follow it up with the delicious Bi-Rite Ice Cream...
Where I tried this delicious flavor!
Lastly, I walked through the Mission and checked out the murals...
And, of course, Good Vibrations, the home of the antique vibrator museum..
Alas, no pictures allowed inside!
And by then, it was 1 PM and time for my return flight...
I am looking forward to a return to San Fran very soon!
AZ
I'd say you really hit the highlights! Great shots!
